Need to park a camper van THU-SUN

Hi everyone,

My dear friends are coming over, having travelled Europe in their Volkswagen Westfalia camper van. Of course now that they are here in Vienna, they will be staying at my cosy home thus they need to park this monster from Thursday night to Monday morning.

Would anyone know of a safe place to leave the beast that will not breaking their bank and leave enough cash for those schnitzels? I tried wiencamping.at - they charge you for the facilities too - a hefty 21,30 Eur per day.. Most parking houses are not high enough, the van is 2,60 high..

Maybe one of you have a safe inner yard and we could pay you instead?

You could try any of the park and rides around the city. There is one on the U1 at Kagran, I know there is one on the U3 at Simmering I believe, and the newest is somewhere on the U4 towards the south of the city. The one at U1 is free, but there is no security ofcourse. Then again my car was parked safely there for 3 years. I dont know what the others are like, but you could try to find out more about those. http://www.parkandride.at/

Thank you sunshine, the P+R facilities are too low (up to 2,20 m high). And security is also an issue.. Probably will have to stick to the wiencamping option..

I checked and I saw at least one that had higher entrance, the one on the donaukanal I believe. But never mind, if security is an issue I think spending more cash is the only option
