Just thought people might like some information about getting a new eCard - e.g. if your chip on your card stops working or the European Heath Insurance Card part on the back starts to peel off.

Call the Sozialversicherung's Serviceline on 050 124 3311 (local rates apply) and they'll ask you about the following items:

SV-Nummer (10 digits on the front of your card)
Laufnummer (3 digits on front of the card below the chip)

They'll also ask you to confirm your address - defective cards are replaced free of charge.
