Drawing up a contract for a flatmate
Maybe this should go in the other section but I thought it would get more views here.
We just got a new person in to rent our spare room and we'd like to give her a contract to sign, just confirming the amount of rent she will pay and the amount of notice she has to give when moving out. That's pretty much all the info needed.
Does anyone have a template I could use maybe?
Thanks

Two US renter contracts:
http://www.mrlandlord.com/lease/
http://housing.ucsc.edu/cro/pdf/rental_ ... t-room.pdf
I suggest you cut and paste what you need from those, but remember that whatever is not written in the contract favours the party who did not draft it - so for general completeness and peace of mind I would include as much as reasonable in the contract. It is a legal document and you really don't want to be arguing about intended meaning in court one day.

I am sure I have an old contract from the place I sublet before I bought if you need something in German - might take me a while to find it though...
I have a near-fatal aversion to neediness and tree-hugging. Anon.
