Building/Construction Laws?
Just a quick question... Does anyone know what the laws about building/construction are called - in particular the one that relates to permissible working hours? I've just had a call to say that the Dachausbau in my house have also been working on Saturdays from 7am (which the caller believed is not allowed) and there is talk about working Sundays (which I believe to definitely not be allowed...)
I have a near-fatal aversion to neediness and tree-hugging. Anon.

I believe Saturday is allowed (what the exact laws are, I have no idea, but my girlfriend will be home soon and her father is a builder), but perhaps only after a certain point in time. Sundays are a definite no-go on some things (check your local laws).

Re: Building/Construction Laws?
I got a mail from someone in the house - which clears some of issue up...
According to the Gesetz zum Schutz gegen Baulärm:
http://www.baurecht.at/baurecht.asp?r=R ... 0005792909
work is permissible from 6am until 8pm (yikes!) although without having read the whole Gesetz I have not seen anything about the restrictions on high days and holydays...
