so the police have blocked the area off and 3 - 400 students are planning to spend the night there. The ÖH and Green Party are supporting them and apparently Strache has been quoted as saying 'they will soon realise that they have to work in the future'

before it was the entire uni and parts of the NIG. Now it just the hauptuni and they have other things planned for tmrw.

I got an email from the ÖH Uni Wien last night because I never officially unregistered myself from the main uni ... reading the list of demands was hilarious, HAHA. Last semester during the ÖH-Wahl at the TU, the Grünen had quite a few ridiculous demands.

It's not enough for them that the uni is free, but now they want all of this:

Wie du sicher mitbekommen hast wurden heute diverse Hörsäle an der Uni Wien
von StudentInnen besetzt. Die ÖH Uni Wien unterstütz diese Proteste.

Die Forderungen die gemeinsam von allen Studierenden dort verfasst wurden

- Re-Demokratisierung und Stärkung der Mit- und Selbstverwaltung in allen
Bildungseinrichtungen!
- Ausfinanzierung der Unis!
- Selbstbestimmtes Lernen und Leben ohne Konkurrenz- und Leistungsdruck!

- Keine verpflichtende STEP!

yeah it is so unorganized. Life without competition? What kinda demand is that?

Two law classes got cancelled this morning. Apparently only 250 people slept there overnight. They plan on staying there until the Nationalfeiertag.

Yeah I just spoke to a girl who was there trying to get to class - the whole place stinks of cigarette smoke and beer, theyve written on the walls and there are toilet rolls everywhere.

They should be made to clear it up, or charged for the cost of clearing it up. This is what my taxes are gonna have to pay for.

Wow, I feel old saying this but
.. students these days! What are they thinking! Life will be brought to them on a silver plate? In my time we were grateful we could go to university. And I worked all weekends and holidays to be able to afford it. Spoiled brats!
