Goodbye Snowdog!

Postby _kat_ » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:03 am

ImageThat expats come and go is part of expat life, however it is always a sad day for the Vienna Expats community when we lose a very active member. Snowdog has been a great friend of the site and a fountain of local knowledge for many expats since his arrival nearly 5 years ago, and has organised many events - from Heuriger evenings, Martinigansl, bookswaps, drinks after work and also for quite a while a group to get people learning German together – so his absence from the VE scene will indeed be very noticeable. We wish him, his family, and Sam, the dog who many VE members have also got to know, a safe relocation across the pond and a great new start to their next adventure. Hopefully, the lure of the Austrian ski slopes might coax them back from time to time!

Kat, you are far to kind. That said, Thank You, Vielen Dank, Merci.

Now for skiing a strong possibility, for Martinigansl and Wienachts Markts...... Hell Yeah :D

See you a little after 10 November, did someone say Martinigansl?

Let us know how you are getting along in the States. All the best to you and "family".

Thank you all for making Vienna a special place for me. Vienna is a great city, however it was the people I met off of the forum who made great.

We have arrived in Northern New Jersey and are settling in. Sam misses the the public transportation and being able to go everywhere. She also misses the social interaction with everyone. I am sure things will get better once we adapt to being here.

I will return this fall and at a minimum do a Drinks after work. Enjoy summer and all Vienna has to offer.
