Subforum Overkill????
Has there been a request to increase the number of forums and sub forums? The site just seems convoluted with this new set up.

Re: Subforum Overkill????
Thanks for the feedback. The tidy-up is still very much underway at the moment - only a third of the threads from Living in Vienna - which cover too wide a range of topics for a single forum - have been categorised to date. We are aware that some subforums will be underpopulated and will be remerged into others and realise that the moderating team, when going through the site, also will have a big task deciding on where threads belong. Part of the reasoning behind using more subforums is to tie in articles to specific forums and thematic issues. We are also aware that there are issues with the template at the moment - this is being resolved.

Hi morgenhund
Will there be an edit function also?
Thanks,
Jay.

Hi Jay,
The edit function is still there - the problem I am trying to cure is due to a new template that won't take over the icons. If you hover in the top right hand corner of your post (to the left of your user name you will find all the options) are there but not visible. It has my top priority to be resolved.

Any chance to streamline the forum at some point please? Consolidation perchance?

IMO, absolute and complete overkill on subforums *especially* given the (low) traffic volume.
it would be neater if there were, say, 5 subforums at max. and some sort of tagging ability that mods can tag , if they want, each thread should people need to search
otherwise, its a big turn off to browse this website

Comments taken on board - am going to look into tferg's "tagging" suggestion and would welcome further feedback from WienA - I will be the first to concede there have been some problems with the site (in terms of layout etc.) recently.
